Studio
Founded in 2019 in Mantua, Italy, Creamatelier is a design practice that focuses on art direction, interiors, set design, and furniture concepts. From the outset, the studio has explored how digital tools can both extend and transform architectural thinking, offering brands, magazines, and cultural institutions new ways to imagine and communicate space.

Today, interiors remain the central stage of Creamatelier’s work, whether conceived as editorial imagery, advertising campaigns, or visionary environments. Alongside this, the studio designs bespoke sets and furniture pieces, often created to highlight products or carefully curated scenarios. Across all projects, the approach combines architectural rigor with imagination and the unexpected, crafting narratives that move fluidly between image, environment, and object.
Process
Each project begins with research, sketches, and material studies that trace the evolution of an idea from its earliest form to its final outcome. This documentation is an integral part of the practice, offering clients a transparent view of the creative journey. The process highlights how intuition and rigor merge in Creamatelier’s work, ensuring that every commission embodies both conceptual depth and refined execution.

Founder
Riccardo Fornoni (b. 1994, Mantua, Italy) is an architect and designer based in Italy. He graduated in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, where he developed a strong awareness of history and context as essential elements in the act of design. This sensitivity continues to inform his work, from the way colors and geometries are composed to how objects and spaces are envisioned in dialogue with their surroundings.
In 2019, after graduating, Riccardo began collaborating with local architects before founding Creamatelier, a creative studio dedicated to representing products within evocative and theatrical scenarios. Through this work, he soon gained international recognition, leading to exhibitions and collaborations with brands and cultural institutions worldwide. Since 2023, he has also served as a jury member for the Paris Design Awards, further consolidating his role within the contemporary design landscape.
